Internal Operations: To support AvanteTec Corporation's billing processes for services including CMMC compliance consulting

5. Data Storage and Retention

5.1 Local Storage

CSV source files containing invoice data are stored locally on authorized AvanteTec devices. You are responsible for:

Securing these files on your local system
Managing retention and deletion of CSV files
Ensuring the accuracy of data in source files

5.2 Application Storage

The Application itself does not maintain a persistent database or long-term storage of invoice data. Data is processed in memory during invoice creation and transmitted directly to QuickBooks Online.

5.3 QuickBooks Online Storage

Once invoices are created, all invoice data is stored in your QuickBooks Online account and is subject to Intuit's privacy policy and data retention practices.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

The Application operates with the following data sharing practices:

6.1 No Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data accessed or processed by the Application with third parties for their commercial purposes.

6.2 QuickBooks Online

The Application transmits invoice data directly to QuickBooks Online through official API channels. This transmission is necessary for the Application to function. Your QBO data is subject to Intuit's Privacy Policy.

6.3 No External Services

The Application does not integrate with or transmit data to any services other than QuickBooks Online.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect data processed by the Application:

Authentication: The Application uses OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication with QuickBooks Online
Encryption: All data transmitted to QBO is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols

You can modify or delete invoices created by the Application within QBO
You can revoke the Application's access to QBO at any time

9.2 Data Deletion

You can delete CSV source files from your local system at any time
To delete invoice data, use QuickBooks Online's deletion features
Revoking the Application's QBO access will prevent future data access

10. Data Processing Location

The Application operates as follows:

CSV files are stored and processed on local devices in the United States (California)
Data transmission occurs directly from local devices to QuickBooks Online servers
QuickBooks Online data is stored in accordance with Intuit's data center locations and policies

11. Children's Privacy

This Application is designed for business use only and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
